3 Phase Wire Numbers

I am having issues when attempting to automatically put wire numbers on pages with 3-phase wiring. I am looking for a way to automatically put the wire numbers on with all three numbers referencing a single ladder number (without moving the wires). Is there a way to do this?

If you open up your spacing so the wires are in line with the Sheet/Reference number it might help you a little.

Good luck

That certainly would have made things easier, but unfortunately I cannot change the spacing of the wires or move the wires at all. Is there a way to number them correctly in their current position?

First, what do the final wire numbers need to be? Your phrase 'with all three numbers referencing a single ladder number' isn't clear to me. Do you mean numbering like this:
101L1
101L2
101L3

This is pretty common, if not standard, in North America. If this is what you want, there's a way to do it. There is a tool specifically for numbering multi-phase wires: _AE3PHASEWIRENO

If you're unfamiliar with that command, there's a pretty good write up in ACADE HELP.

Hope this helps,

Jim

P.S. - Also note that if you are trying to wire 3 phase wires with the _AEWIRENO command, it doesn't accommodate typical 3-phase wire numbering schemes. Can you post an example of correctly numbered 3-phase wires for us to see?

I have attached a picture of what the wiring should look like. The problem I have been having is when using "automatic wire numbers" the bottom rung wire number becomes referenced to the rung below (in this case 104 instead of 103). Ideally, I would like to update wire numbers all at once on my 3-phase pages, but have been unable to because of this issue.

If I am following you, the spacing may be causing you a little trouble.  Imagine a horizontal line in-between reference 103 and 104.  Anything above that line will, by default, want to use the 103 reference while anything below that imagined line will, by default, want to reference 104.  Does that make any sense?

Good luck

That is what I am encountering. Is there a way to override that default so that I can have all three lines reference a single ladder number (in this case 103)?

If you're not allowed to change the spacing of the wires, then what you want can't be done with the automatic wire numbering tool. You'll have to use the three phase wire numbering tool. It will accommodate any wire spacing.
