Creating ridges and curblines using breaklines

Hi there,

I have read that breaklines can be used to define " features, such as retaining walls, curbs, tops of ridges, and streams" . I have created a polyline, assigned it an elevation and thereafter converted it to a feature line. However on adding it to the surface (as a breakline), it is completely ignored. Surface triangles run through it like it doesnt exist and it does not even show up in the object viewer. How can i solve this?

Thanks in advance

It might cross another breakline and therefore be ignored.

You can check this by allowing crossing breaklines.

Go to Surface Properties, Definition tab, expand the Build collection, scroll down and set Allow crossing breaklines to True.

Does the surface use the breakline now?

What type of breakline did you choose to add it as?

Hi Jef, I used a standard breakline.
