I've had 2017 C3D installed on my Windows 10 machine for about 2 months now with no issues. I came in to work this morning and AutoCAD crashes on me during startup. It gets to where the Drawing1.dwg can be seen but is still loading, and then it crashes. Also, when it crashes it opens up 2 of Send Error Report Windows. I'm used to only 1 popping up after a crash. It does open in "Safe Mode w/ Network"
I've attempted the following and all result in crashes.
I've attached what comes up in the Error Report. Does anyone have any ideas on what to try next? TIA

Hi
I found something here on another forum that might help you. Not sure if it's related to you but it's always a good idea to try everything out.
- Right click on start and then Control Panel,
- Open Language,
- Set English (United States) as first on the list,
- On left side click "Advanced settings",
- For "Override for Windows display language" inside a drop down list pick "English (United States)" and do the same for "Override for default input method!"
- Click "Save"

Hi @Anonymous, try to run a repair from the control panel in case that something changed with the Windows 10 updates that are been push for the last two weeks

Hi
You can run the uninstall feature. This will launch the uninstall screen from where you will have the option to either uninstall/Repair or Reinstall

Hi again
Just a question... is your software up to date with all the updates? Including all hotfixes?

I've submitted an IT ticket to run the repair and get these installed. (No admin rights here ) I'll report back once that is done.
I've had a similar problem happen to me before and I fixed it with running a repair on the program. Also make sure the files for it are up to date because sometimes this throws off the system. If that doesn't work feel free to try and uninstall and reinstall the program. It is a rather large file so depending on your connection this could take a couple minutes. You can manage all the uninstall and reinstall and repair from the control panel on your computer under software.
Not a lot of people is aware of the performace degradation hotfix, where operation or commands like opening, saving, plotting, purging, switching between layouts, and otherwise working in drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D (or in any version of AutoCAD that has the Civil 3D Object Enabler installed), the program hangs and takes several minutes (or even longer) to finish a command or process before the program responds again for normal input.
Please install the hotfix on this link:

An issue that may be the cause of your crashing: Some Autodesk application are being impacted by Microsoft updates. Most of the reports I've seen confirmed are related to 2014 and older AutoCAD versions and the MS updates. See these articles:
https://synergiscadblog.com/2017/06/26/autodesk-applications-impacted-by-windows-updates/
And if your IT department determines that .NET 4.7 is the culprit or wants to troubleshoot it:
Installed all of the hot fixes and latest update. This seems to have solved my problem. Thank you all for the help.
I have done everything suggested on this thread and I have not had anything work for me, I have uninstalled and reinstalled about 4 times, I have all the hotfixes up to date. I have no idea what to do, none of my civil 3d's have given me this many problems. Unfortunately I have to use 2017 because of my client, and now I cant get any work done.
I had the same issue on 4 laptops.
Using the Autodesk Desktop App ... select the Autocad item then install update 2017.1.2
Thus worked for me.
Apologies if you have already tried this,
R.
It's very important to keep Autodesk Desktop App logged with your Autodesk Account and running. That way the software will receive all the available updates, once you aprove them.
This simple settings can save you from a lot of trouble running Civil 3D.
Very important that the FLEXnet Licensing Server services run.
Check out this article:
Im having the same issue in Auto Cad 2018 with the C3D Object enabler installed? Do or anyone else know if there is a version of this hotfix out for Auto Cad 2018?
Thanks
Hello
