creatindg a complex pipe in catalog

Hello,

I have to create a new pipe family in my pipe catalog.

Is there an easy way to do that?

I read the Civil 3D help a bit and it sounds pretty complex to do.

Here is the pipe style that I have to do.

There are 4 types of available shapes in creating pipe in pipe networks part builder and I don’t think you can customize the shape of it. Looking at the image is more like of a tunnel, you can do this by creating sub-assembly from polyline and you need to create alignment and profile for the levels.

You can follow these step by step from Autodesk help.

Hope this helps you.

I believe it is possible to create this as a pipe. One would need more information such as dimensions and where is the centerline of the Pipe for insertion.

Are you able to post dimensions and where the centerline of your pipe would be?

Also, are you looking to have multiple pipe sizes?

As far as answering your question about easy... No, part builder is not very easy to learn unless you have a prior experience in parametric drawing.

Hello,

Sorry for the delay of my reply, I was pretty busy on other projects.

First, thanks to alfredo.elago and hippe013 for your answers.

For the rest, I no longer need this conduct. It was only for a project and it will not come back.
