Windows show in 3D but not in TOP view. Windows and doors not cutting the wall

I added 3 windows which show in 3-D view but do not show up in TOP view.

I placed a door on top of wall but door and wall do not connect. In other words the wall does not break where I place a door.

I am going crazy . Please HELP !!!

Without seeing the drawing file, it is hard to say.  In your plan view, what is the cut plane height?  It could be below your Windows, and the out-of-the-box display settings typically have the above cut plane components turned off, so you would not see the Windows in that case.

When you place your Doors, are you following the command line prompts and selecting a Wall prior to placing the Door?

David,

Thank you so much,

I finally got it to work by raising the cut plane height from 3'6" to 6'.

So all the windows show in both TOP VIEW (in 2D) and in 3D.

Thank you tremendously.

Glad you got it to work.

If setting the global cut plane above 3'-6" causes problems in other parts of your drawing, you can also override the cut plane height in the Display Properties of the host Wall, either as a style-level or object-level display override.  I suppose you could make the change for all Walls (without an override) at the drawing default level, if you wanted it set that way on all (or most all) Walls.

The image below shows a style-level override set on the Plan Display Representation, raising the Cut Plane to 4'-0".2019-04-19_ACA2017_WallStyleDisplayOverride_Plan_CutPlaneOverride.png
