Setting additional format for Fields

Hi all,

I would like to know if it is possible to set a specific format for the field-object comand. I use this command a lot and to keep similarities I usually copy paste the result that field yield, but every time I do this I have to set again the kind of format I want the info to be displayed. Schedule tags are not something I am looking for because I need to extract this info into tables that I have in the paper space and I found a direct way to do thi with field instead that with schedule tags. So my question is if there is a way to establish an additional format for the info displayed with field-object command. Thanks in advance

Are you asking about the formatting on the displayed field (rather than the format in the table)?

As far as I know, you have whatever options the Field Wizard offers when creating the field, which will vary depending on the data type.

I will note that AutoCAD Architecture Schedule Tags and Schedule Tables provide a robust way of formatting data through Property Data Formats.  The Schedule Tag will display whatever Property Data Format is assigned to the Property.  If you want to modify the format of a Property when displayed in a Schedule Table, you can select a different Property Data Format there.

You seem set on using Fields.  You may find a better response for those in the AutoCAD Forum, as most AutoCAD Architecture users use Schedule Tags and Schedule Tables and will be less familiar with Fields
