Plotting colors while set to Monochrome.ctb

Hello,

Plotting in monochrome has been an ongoing issue ever since I started using my new work computer. Depending on what is displayed, some layers or objects print in color, even if all my settings are set to override layers and plot black. I have triple checked all my color settings in monochrome.ctb, changed all vp colors to black, but the only way I have been able to work around it is by switching all layer colors to black before plotting. I have been trying to trouble shoot this issue for weeks now without any relief. The problem is intermittent depending on if blocks are present in the drawing. But now that I have switched my color palette to a more eye strain friendly selection, all of the colors are overriding monochrome. I have attached a screenshot of the issue.

You may have already done this but check the colors on the blocks to see if they are set to True Color or Color Books. These are outside the 256 Index Colors. I had this problem before and I found out the block colors were not part of the 256 Index Colors.

Thank you Kory for your response!

That was half of the issue. Not only were the Layer Colors outside of the 255 Indexed Colors, but some of my Viewports were also set 'Plot as Displayed' and will apparently only plot monochrome if set to 'Legacy Hidden.'

If anyone else is having this issue:

1. Make sure your layers are set to an Index Color (0-255) and not a True Color (RGB or HSR) or Color Books

2. When you highlight your View Port, check the "Shade Plot" under Properties. Set it to 'Legacy Wireframe' or 'Legacy Hidden' to suit your needs.

3. Make sure your Plot Style is set to Monochrome.ctb
