Double Click Full Properties

Double click produces quick properties, I want full properties

I like the way it is set up right now (double click on polylines = polyline edit; text likewise; etc,. getting double click to pull up Hatchedit would be nice)

Quick properties is useless and I want full properties to appear when I double click on two or more objects

I'm using AutoCAD 20`15 and 2016 (problem appears in both)

I'm sure there must be a switch similar to QPMODE for this setting

Welcome to the community!

Are you using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Architecture?  I am not seeing the issues you describe in AutoCAD Architecture.

Either way, you can edit your CUIX file (CUI command; Customize User Interface dialog) and set the Double Click Actions for each object type to be whatever you would like.

Editing the CUI file is the low hanging fruit. Its the full properties I am looking for.

Hopefully the picture shows more clarity

You are using AutoCAD, and not AutoCAD Architecture.

I tend to leave the Properties palette open at all times, as there are often settings that I want to adjust when working with AutoCAD Architecture objects.  But in playing around with this, I see that if I double-click on a single object that does not have a double-click action assigned, and the Properties palette is closed, it will open.  But if multiple objects are selected, whether or not they are the same object type (and, if the same object type, whether or not they have a double-click action assigned), the quick properties opens.

A quick search of Help and the internet did not turn up anything promising for an easy way to customize the double click action taken when multiple objects are selected.  It may be hard-coded into the program.

In AutoCAD Architecture, all of the right-click context menus have Properties as a choice at the very bottom.  If my Properties palette were closed, and I had multiple objects selected, rather than double-click, I would right click and choose Properties.  If that also exists in the vanilla AutoCAD right click menus, that could be an alternative for you.  Otherwise, it would require some sort of custom function to have the '_properties command issued when double clicking with multiple objects selected, rather than '_quickproperties.

I had this problem, i've just sorted it out in the CUI box

Go to Double Click Customizations, select one of the items, say Line, click that and under it is a Star that says Quick Properties alongside it, click on that and on the right hand side you will see the associated command with it, it says QUICKPROPERTIES and ^P-QUICKPROPERTIES, just change these to PROPERTIES and ^P-PROPERTIES, exit CUI and double click on any object and the full properties box opens rather than that Quick Properties box, and by changing it on one object in CUI< all Quick Properties have updated, so that does it 😄  i've saved my workspace again as my own layout in case this ever defaults back to the Quick Properties menu. I've attached a screenshot of the above
