AutoCAD 2019 not responsive again and again

I'm working on the student version of AutoCAD 2019 and its freezing at regular intervals. I'm working on some floor plans and four different plans are open on the same model space. My PC specs are ryzen 2600, 16 GB 2400mhz ram and gtx 1060 GB. I just cleaned my pc yesterday thoroughly and my cpu temps are at 55 degrees Celsius at 10-12% load and RAM usage is around 50%. I put around 150-200 seat blocks for the auditorium design. Could that be eating at my PC's resources and making it unresponsive?

where do you store your DWG files? How are you connected to that source?
Is this a laptop or a desktop PC?

2019 is not new: have you had this issue for over a year now or is it a recent problem? Or limited to a few DWG files?

I'm finding 2020 on W10 freezes far too often.  Just up'd from 2016/17 on W7 so I am unsure which is the guilty party.  Still trying to find a resolution.   I've turned the performance settings in W10 right down and it does help a little.
Also try turning off line thickness and transparency in A2019.  Try to keep your work practises simple, ie. don;t use too many viewports etc.

not sure if the problem is still there, but i had a lagging issue too a week ago.

My solution was:

-turn off any background software (ea password manager, antivirus)

- check if the problem is gone

- if not, switch off another. 

- rince and repeat

in my case it was F-secure Key that was causing the freezing.
