zoom extents (not what you think!)

I have a drawing containing (only) the following and all in Modelspace:

  • 2 (clean) blocks
  • 6 mtext
  • 1388 lines
  • 33 text
  • 26 circles
  • 58 polylines

Layout is completely empty, and all layers are thawed & turned on...

When I "zoom extents" (2x middle mouse click), my zoom Windows is over 300,000 m in size, but the objects all lie within 10,000m from one another.

Here is the funny part... the colleague sitting next to me sees a correct, tightly snapped zoom-extents when he tries with the same .dwg... it must therefore lie on some Setting in my CAD but no idea which one.

I'm running AutoCAD Architecture 2016 on Windows 7 (soon to be Windows 10 with ACAD Arch 2018)

does anyone know which Setting this is?

Please, check double click middle button.

Is there any difference when using the menu VIEW, ZOOM, ALL or LIMITS ?
