So I have read through all of the posts that I could find about the issue I am having, however I believe there's something I am missing.
The issue I'm having is when drawing an Xline is that it locks to horizontal or vertical in the way a construction line works. I almost always use the command to reference center points between 2 objects so I will run the xline command, enter into midpoint between 2 points, and after selecting the 2 points it will usually lock to horizontal or vertical. When selecting the 2 points, a point is usually selected with the nearest snap. Also, it will usually do the same when selecting any part of a wall to draw a reference line.
After reading through the other posts, it seems that turning the perpendicular snap off does solve the issue, but having to turn this on & off constantly all day isn't the most efficient. What has me believing that I'm missing something or I've accidentally changed a system variable is that for one, it works sometimes, as in about 3 times out of 10, and also I have the same version of AutoCAD Architecture installed on my home computer and I don't have the issue at all and everything works as anticipated.
I've attached a file, however I'm not sure that it will work if a system variable has changed on my end.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
