Working with troublesome proxy objects

Hello all -

Drawings I get from a supplier have some proxy objects that I can seem to shake. I've tried everything I can find in the forums and online. I'm using AutoCAD Architecture 2020.

-EXPORTTOACAD

creating a WBLOCK

zombie kill plugin

autocad 2020 arch object enablers

etc.

I believe the drawings are created in AutoCAD mechanical. The proxyinfo popup usually only says there is 1 object, but there is clearly many more than that. I've attached an example drawing. I've deleted all other items but the proxies, because I can't delete them.

All I really need to do is hide/delete some of them. I can freeze their layer, but because they are all on the same layer, I can't hide just a few of them for layouts.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You need to ask the file creator to "export to autocad" their files and resend.

Or go grab MECH2020 from your Accounts Page, install it, and use it yourself to do that (it's free unless you are on some old legacy AutoCAD license somehow).

Wow. I feel a bit silly, but today I learned I have access to Mechanical. My life is so much easier now! I installed it and can edit all the objects directly! Never would have thought to even try it.

Thank you so much!

What are the other programs that come with a license? We have a license server so I don't see any products on my accounts page.
