Where to put .CTB Files in AutoCAD Architecture 2022

Good Afternoon all,

I have AutoCAD 2022 loaded on my system and have been using my 2021 just fine.  I have a couple of custom CTB Files and I want to load these into 2022.  Where do I copy these files to?

Launch STYLESMANAGER command at the commandline and the correct folder should open right away.

Nevermind I found it.

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ACA 2022\enu\Plotters\Plot Styles

Was able to just copy my custom CTB and STB files to this location and I am good to go.

Thank you all for your help

I do not have a directory named "C: ProgramData\..."  When I input STYLESMANAGER, the Windows File Manager opens and can't find any applicable directory.

ProgramData is a hidden folder in Windows.  Either turn on the display of hidden files and folders in File Explorer, or type in the path in the address bar at the top.

You can find the location(s) where AutoCAD is looking for plot style files for your active AutoCAD Profile in the Options dialog, on the Files tab.  Expand the Printer Support File Path node and the Plot Style Table Search Path node under that, to see the path(s) that are currently set.

(FWIW, the STYLESMANAGER command opens File Explorer to the Documents folder on my computer, which is not where the plot styles are kept.  I know the guy who set up the deployment, and I blame him.)

I seem to be having no issue getting my pre-set .ctb files into proper folders, but I don't see any of them as 'plot style' or 'pen settings' when I open the 'plot' menu. They also won't load, as all you have options to access from the plot window are 'CFG' or 'PCP' settings. How do we get these actually LOADED??

@billR797V

So you have your CTB files in the folder that File Explorer opens to when you type STYLESMANAGER at the command line and press the ENTER key (as pendean noted previously)?

If so, and if the drawing file that you are plotting is set to use color-dependent plot styles, those CTB files should be available as choices.  If your drawing file uses named plot styles, then you will only see the STB files that may be available in that folder.  (Or other folders in the Plot Table Style Search Path.)

As an alternative, custom plot style files can be saved in a different folder and added to the files search path. This works well for version updates as well as anytime you need to plot using other companies standards.
