Weyerhaeuser PDF drawing to CAD

Hi,

I just realized Weyerhaeuser won't be able to export their floor wood framing layout drawing to CAD anymore due to their proprietary software.

Has anybody experienced that before?  If so, how do you convert them to CAD and create the 3d model?  Do you have to import their PDF file to CAD and trace over it?  See attached.

I'm trying to create the 3d model of the wood framing (joist, glulam beam, etc.)  This will take a lot of time to do so by using this method.  Anybody who's been through this and somehow found a better solution, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have to use only Weyerhaeuser?

Are you wanting to avoid using W's Javelin Software?

Or are you just looking for their downloads section for AutoCAD https://www.techsupport.weyerhaeuser.com/hc/en-us/sections/200868254-TJI-Joists-Floor-Framing-Detail...

No, I need to see the conflicts between the MEPS and the floor framing members.  (Overlaying the MEPS layout and the floor framing layout in floor plan view.)

Since I was only given the PDF file of the floor framing layout and without any CAD file, I can't achieve that.

The only way I can achieve that is to import this PDF file into AutoCAD and literally draw a line from point A to point B to locate each structural member by tracing on top of it.  As you can see in my attached file, there are tons of structural members and it's a time consuming process.

My question is whoever has done a wood framing project before and if you've been in my situation before (no CAD file given from Weyerhaeuser and need to locate each wood framing member in AutoCAd), did you find a better method to do this than the method I just mentioned?

No way would I touch anyone's PDF for the task that you need to accomplish.
Reach out to the Weyerhaeuser Dealer that generated the PDF (and your mutual client/General Contractor) to discuss your wants and needs.

I did.  They said they are using a Weyerhaeuser proprietary software to generate these PDF files.

They can't even generate a file format that I can use in any one of the 3d modeling software in the market.  I've never heard of a software that's so incompatible to other softwares.
