Upside down dimensions in rotated viewport

First of all we are using Project Navigator. When we rotate a viewport 90 degrees in the sheet so the drawing fits on the page the now horizontal dimensions (vertical in construct) are upside down. Is there a setting or a way to correct this?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Assuming that you are rotating the Viewport 90 degrees counterclockwise, you could create a UCS by rotating the World UCS about the Z-axis by -90 degrees and have that set current before you place the dimensions.

On the Model tab, unrotated, the "horizontal" dimensions will still read from the bottom, but the "vertical" dimensions will read from the left side, rather than the right side.  When the Viewport is rotated on a layout, they will read from the right and bottom.

Not sure if that works with your workflow.  If the dimensions are already placed, I do not know of a way to "fix" them, other than to redraw them.

Our workflow is the dimensioning is in the construct, we then set up a view drawing and the view drawing is xrefed into the sheet. The viewport is rotated in the sheet drawing.

Just thinking out loud, but could you just make a dim style that would make the dims show correctly when rotated 90 and then just change all those dims to that new style in properties.

If you set up a rotated UCS as previously noted in the construct, prior to placing the dimensions, the dimensions will be placed such that they will be right reading when you rotate the viewport in the sheet file.  They will not "look" right in the construct or view files, nor will they look right on the Model tab of the sheet file.

Here is an image of a viewport in a "sheet" file (not done in an actual ACA project) that was rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise.  The dimensions were placed in the source construct file; the black ones with the UCS set to World and the red ones with the UCS rotated -90 degrees about the World Z axis.
