Stop Dimension Style Overrides

I created the script below to adjust the Dim Precision and the rounding but every time I run it, it creates a dim override and does not change my dimstyle. I have unchecked the box in the drawing setup but it still creates the override.

-dimstyle
r
hmh_96_standard
dimdec
2
dimrnd
.5
dim
update
all

exit

Thanks

Hi @ted.evans,

Thank you for posting your question here in the community. The DIM Update function was replaced with the -DIMSTYLE > Apply command beginning with AutoCAD 2016.

Take a look at the following article for an explanation of the change, as well as a recommendation for adjusting to the new functionality:

DIM Update no longer works

I don't know whether this is pertinent but it looks like your script is adding overrides and then applying the overrides to your dimensions.  If you want the dimension variable changes to be saved to the dimstyle, then save the new settings first to the restored dimstyle and then apply the settings to the dims.
