Spherical gradient hatch does not plot

I am plotting a floor plan with color hatch fills in all the rooms. All of these hatches plot in color to a pdf, but the spherical gradient hatch I used to represent grass surrounding the building  does not.

It is not a layer turned off or frozen in model space - no

it is not a layer turned off of frozen in viewport - no

It is not transparency - this is set to 0

tried shade plot set as displayed - no

Tried shade plot set to rendered - no

created a new plot style table - all colors set to "by Object"  - no affect

The gradient prints correctly in the print preview of the page set up manager. - see attched jpg.

The gradient dissapears in the actual DWG to PDF plot. see attched pdf

What could I be doing wrong?

I had the same issue.

I couldn't plot gradients to a PDF once the file got to a certain size.

However, I WAS able to plot gradients directly onto paper.

Hi Patrick,

Sometimes this happens with large gradients while plotting to PDF. One thing you can try is to decrease the gradient resolution in the PC3 custom settings (pictured below).

The default setting for "DWG to PDF.pc3" is 400dpi. Try adjusting this down by an interval at a time, then test the plot.

If you try this and the issue still occurs, please post a drawing file where this is happening, and I'll be happy to take a look.

Thank you for your response Victoria. Unfortunately I just deleted this gradient and moved on as I had run out of time. I definitely will adjust this setting.  If I include these types of gradients in the future, I will be sure to revisit this post and log my results.
