Save Drawing - Version Conflict

I get this error when I try to save down to 2013 from 2019.  How do I actually go about doing either Option 2 or Option 3 in this error screen?  When I click the link provided, it only shows how to create proxy graphics, which I went through, and still got the error screen when I tried to save again.

That is by design: you cannot save down and keep intact any AEC content from ACA2018-2019 down to lower DWG file formats.

You will need to "export to autocad" which will remove all intelligence from your AEC content and allow you to save files down to DWG format lower than 2018dwg.

Read all about it here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Backwa...

My only goal is to save it down so that consultants can use the file.  What it keeps intact is irrelevant at this point.

Just so I understand, you're looking at the error, which lists 3 options, and saying we should ignore all three of those and instead do this 'export to autocad'?  Or are you using different language that actually refers to one of the three options?

Are the options in the error real options or does everyone have workarounds? "Save this drawings as AutoCAD-only objects"?  "Save this drawings to previous versions with Proxy Graphics"?

Export to AutoCAD is saving the file as AutoCAD-only objects.  It explodes all of the AEC Objects, leaving AutoCAD objects that replicate the current display of the AEC Objects.  There are different versions of the command to explode and save the file to different file formats.  AECEXPORTTOAUTOCAD2013 is the command that will result in a 2013-format file.  It is the option I would use if I needed to share a 2018-format ACA file with a consultant looking only for a "plan background" over which to draft the consultant's work.

If you want your consultants to have no issues at all with any of your files, you need to either use EXPORT TO AUTOCAD or they need to upgrade to AutoCAD2018-2019 (or ACA/MEP 2018-2019).

These are the 100% flawless accurate solutions for file sharing. Anything else is wasting your time and theirs are you both spend time and effort trying to solve each others unnecessary problem.
