I'm curious to hear if and how other people apply tile to their models. Is there a particular method that you use?

The below examples were made using structural members.

Our work rarely would use that sort of roofing, and even if it did, we would likely not model it - certainly not to that level of detail.  Very impressive!

Thanks, the example shown is more for detailed rendering and goes beyond the day to day use.  I use the ridge-hip component for some 2d elevations though.  I would say for the most part we use 2d dynamic blocks to enhance front elevations only.

I'm not sure myself what direction I was hoping for from the original post.  Trying to keep it to a small topic,  maybe the question I have is how much detail are people putting into their elevation linework and how do they accomplish it, particularly in the roof?   I find the rest of elevations to be pretty straight forward. The attached pdfs  have different scenarios that I've tried over the years to create compelling roofs for elevations and renderings.

I thought I would share one of the hip tile and a sample of the tile fill for those who would further this concept.  No display representation settings have been applied.
