Reorient XYZ Axes

I'm using AutoCAD in 2D only, and somehow in one of my files the XYZ axes have changed from their normal orientation. This is what I typically see: XY AXES.JPG

But somehow, in just one of my files, the axes have change to this:

XZ AXES.JPG

Since I don't know how this happened, I don't know to fix it, and searching help databases and discussion forums like this one haven't turned up a solution. Can someone please explain to me how to get it back to the typical XY orientation? Thanks!

Left click on the ucsicon.  Then right click and choose "World Coordinate System".

If that doesn't fix it, then use the viewport control menu or viewcube to change to top view or use the plan command.

Per dbroad's suggestion set the coordinate system to "world".

Also make sure that your PLAN view is set to WORLD.

On the command line enter PLAN, at the next command line prompt enter W for "world".

To have the PLAN view always change with the UCS set UCSFOLLOW variable to 1.

Thanks to both of you! I figured the solution was probably an easy one, but I couldn't figure it out to save my life!
