Perspective view-can't get true plan view

Hello,

When I look at my floor plan from top view, the Z coordinate seems to be off, like it's showing me an oblique view.  I have tried everything to change the ucs, but I don't think it's that, it's some kind of view setting.  Any ideas?2019-06-07_11-15-02.png

Set your UCS to World.  Then set your view to Top.

It's probably not your UCS.  The gray background indicates that you are in perspective mode.  You could either

  1. Toggle the view control (upper left corner of viewport) to 2d wireframe and then back to whatever visual style you want. (I prefer 2d wireframe for looking at floor plans BTW).
  2. Right click on the view cube and choose parallel.  You won't see the view cube in 2d wireframe so you have another visual style selected.

you're welcome. Looks like all your text might be upside down as well.
