object snap tracking problem

Hi all I have problem with object snap tracking

i need to start ponit from 5 meter  but when i type 5 it does not work

I am not certain that you are doing anything wrong, other than expecting that object snap tracking will work that way.  In my tests, whatever distance I typed ended up being the length of the wall being drawn, not the offset from the tracked point.  I was going to throw AEC objects under the bus here, but I got the same result drawing a Line.

 

Try using the From command modifier.  This will allow you to start the WallAdd command (or any other command that requires point input), and when you want to specify the point you want offset 5 meters from an existing point, type FROM at the Command prompt, then snap to your reference point, drag the cursor in the direction of the offset and type in the distance [have ORTHO or POLAR active] or type in a relative offset [such as @-5,0].

thenk you for your answer I know about FROM command but I wonder why tracking does not work. 😄 i'm surprised I have  three version of autocad they are Civil 3D ; architecture ; and vanilla it does not work in eny of these 😄

Yeah, you may think it's object snap, but really it may be you are grabbing it on screen. This seems to just use the stretch tool for me. Try using the move tool, or hovering over the arrows.
