Hello all, I downloaded and installed AutoCAD Architecture, student version. It looks great but I cannot find a New Project icon anywhere. It's missing from the start screen, the ribbon, the "New" dropdown, etc. The only new items are Drawing or Sheet Set.
Any ideas? Is the student version supposed to be crippled? How to unlock it?

Thanks Pendean, but the "New Project" icon is missing from the quick access toolbar, and can't be added. It can't be found anywhere.

I want to make certain I understand what you are saying, because AutoCAD Architecture itself does not have a tool, button or link that is literally called "New Project". To start a new AutoACAD Architecture Project, you open the Project Browser, and create a New Project there, as outlined in the link that Dean provided.
I am going to assume that you installed the 2020 release. Please check the following:
1. At the top of the AutoCAD window, does it say AutoCAD Architecture 2020, or Autodesk AutoCAD 2020?
2. At the top left of the AutoCAD window, in the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) do you have a Project Browser tool?
3. Select the drop-down at the right end of the QAT.
4. Is Project Browser an option here? If so, but it is not on the QAT and shows in the drop-down without a check mark, select it in the drop-down menu to add it to the QAT.
If it says Autodesk AutoCAD 2020 at the top, you are running AutoCAD, not AutoCAD Architecture, and will not have access to the the Project Browser.
If it says AutoCAD Architecture 2020 at the top, but you are not seeing Project Browser on the QAT and it is not an option on the drop-down menu, similar to the image below, then you may be running the AutoCAD profile in AutoCAD Architecture (especially so if your Home ribbon looks like the image below, and not like the ones above).
If the latter is the case, start a new drawing, and then, at the command line, type OPTIONS and press the ENTER key. Select the Profiles tab, and change the profile from AutoCAD to one that has "AutoCAD Architecture" in the name (select it and then choose the Set Current button). Select the OK button to ratify the change. You should now have a Project Browser tool in the QAT.

Hello David,
Thank you for the detailed response. Unfortunately my 2019 student version is completely missing a project browser. AECPROJECTBROWSER is also missing. I'm going to uninstall it and install the 2020 version.
thanks again,
Chris
