Recently installed and fully updated "Product Design Suite Ultimate" 2017 version as a domain administrator on a Win 7 Pro x64 PC and after logging in as a test student (no admin rights and has roaming profiles enabled) and attempting to open the shortcut to "AutoCAD Architecture 2017 - English" I get the error as shown in the attached screenshot.
After a bit of Googling I found the following article but it is very bare-bones in regards to details on how to fix this issue. Would anyone care to provide me additional details regarding fixing this issue? I realize roaming profiles are not "officially supported" but I would like at least a best effort attempt at assistance.
Raster Design does not start if Windows roaming profiles are used
Thank you!
@ksaelens for clarity VStudley edited the original subject: Need additional details regarding a knoledgebase article
The knowledge base article seems pretty straightforward to me. Use regedit. Search for the problem path. Replace the double slash with a single slash.
Thank you for the quick reply, dbroad.
I've searched through the registry of this PC numerous times as the domain administrator and while I find many instances of "\enu\\support" I can't seem to locate anything resembling the full path listed in the screenshot in my original post.
If someone wouldn't mind pointing me to the specific registry location(s) I need to modify I would greatly appreciate it!
I wouldn't try to find the complete path because it's probably in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER hive. I would think that all instances of "\enu\\support" should be changed to \enu\support" since \end\\support should never exist.
Thank you again for replying, dbroad.
I understand my objective and what needs to be done but what I don't understand is how to find the particular registry entry that is causing this issue. You told me it was most likely in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" but said portion of the registry is quite expansive and my searching skills are failing me.
If you or someone else wouldn't mind pointing me in the right direction I would be very grateful!
If you are asking how to search using regedit, then use CTRL+F to find and F3 to continue finding the same string. There is no replace function in regedit so once you find the problem string you need to delete the extra backslash for each instance.
