You are using AutoCAD, and not AutoCAD Architecture?

Have you checked your viewport for viewport frozen layers?

Did you create the drawing, or did you get it from someone who used AutoCAD Architecture to create it?

Posting the file would help speed a specific response.

Hello David ,

I am new to Audocad and just learning to draw basic floor plan from a you tube video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hO865EIE0p0&t=39s

Q: Have you checked your viewport for viewport frozen layers?

Please let me know how to check it.

Its a new drawing for floor plan and almost exact as in the you tube video.

Regards

Sam

Set the Layout active.  If Model Space in the viewport is not already active, double click inside the viewport to activate Model Space.

Open the Layer Properties Manager (one way:  type LAYER at the command line and then press the ENTER key).  Look for the VP Freeze column (you may need to stretch the width of the columns to see the full name).  Layers that are viewport frozen will have a rectangle icon (the viewport) with a snowflake icon.  See the A-Door layer in the image below.  Layers that are viewport thawed will have the same rectangle icon with a sun icon, such as the A-Wall layer in the image below.2018-12-16_ACA2019_Layout_VPFreeze.png
