Migration to AutoCAD Architecture 2022

Good morning,

I need help about updating from ACAD Architecture 2019 to 2022.
The point is, I have to transfer also the Project Navigator, the Materials Library and the customisation of ribbons and menu bars, but I don't know which folders they are located in. There are also some macros.

It should all be done by the dedicated migration app, but in case of fail I have to move the stuff manually.

Can you tell me where can I find and copy safely them?

Thank you so much.
Regards,
MR

1) Do NOT uninstall ACA2019 or do much of anything with it until ACA2022 is fully operational to your liking.

2) Are you changing computers? Are you moving the Projects locations? If not, unless you opted from some unusual filing method, just open one of your projects in ACA2022 and follow the prompts to repath files etc. if asked.
3) Did you ever take the time to separate your customizations from the core product (separate CUIx menu file, separate folder for Materials you curated etc.)? For those users that need/want migration to always work, it is the better approach. If not, you can use the CUI command's TRANSFER tab from inside ACA2022 to move content from ACA2019's CUIx file, you just have to know where that is by looking for it in OPTIONS command's FILES Tab, under the CUSTOMIZATION FILES>Main Customization File's entry. For Materials etc. OPTIONS command's FILES tab lists where most other folders are saved at.

Dear Dean,
thank you for your detailed troubleshooting!
No, the PC will be the same; an update from ACAD CAE 2019 to 2022 will be performed.
Your instructions are very detailed.
There is also a macro that will be used under 2022 as well: I'll install VBA plugin for 2022 indeed.

So, 2019 and 2022 can co-exist on the same machine without issues until the migration is completed and I'm sure that everything is working fine?

Thank you,
best regards

Yes, you can have ACA2019 and ACA2022 on the same PC, they do not interfere with each other.
