Lines and points to IFC

I know Architecture can export architecture objects and mass elements to IFC, but is it possible to export points and (3D)polylines?

IFC format does not support "lines" or Plines I believe.

It might be so that no viewer has any good capabilities of visualizing lines and points (an infinitely thin line needs to be visualized somehow), but I think the IFC format can store lines and points as IfcLineIndex and IfcCartesianPoint, respectively.
