Layout Tabs Duplicate

When I need to publish several of the layout sheets at the bottom of the screen, I will hold the shift button while selecting the tabs I need.  Sometimes, not all the time, it will duplicate the tabs.  I could have sworn there was a way to turn this off and I did.  This hasn't happened to me in years.  Well, I had to get a new machine and now the duplication is back.  Is there a way to turn this off?

I am unable to replicate that behavior in ACA 2024.

CTRL+drag will duplicate the currently selected layout(s).  Any chance you are catching the CTRL key when you press the Shift key?

... or replace your keyboard and try it again (wired old-school keyboard for testing purposes is ideal).

There are times when I do use CTRL vs SHIFT.  And I must be dragging without knowing.  I wish there was a way to turn this feature off.

I went to a coworker and asked her to hold the CTRL button down and drag to create another layout tab.  She couldn't do it.  There must be a setting that turned this feature off, right?

Nothing turns that off inside AutoCAD as far as I know: but you can't copy to the very end of the row easily either, much simpler if you aim for between other layouts.

Can they right-click and select "copy"?
