Hi everyone,

I remember in the past being able to make an alias that i called -pp- for -pagesetup- to open the page setup manager,

now i cannot do it in Acad Arch. 2018, it wont allow any combination i recall having used and worked at some point, can someone please tell me what am i doing wrong?

I've attached a screen shot os the PGP with all my possible combinations

Also if there is a context menu, tab or ribbon location to call the PAGE SETUP MANAGER please.

thanks!

Make sure you are editing the actual PGP file your AutoCAD session is using: you do this by typing all of the following at the commandline then hitting <enter>

(startapp "notepad" (findfile "acad.pgp"))

You also want to ensure your custom entries are at the very bottom of the PGP list.

Don't forget to run REINIT command, select PGP from the pop-up, and reload it before you try your edits out.

I think the problem in aliasedit in 2018 is that after you make an addition, one dialog disappears and the primary dialog loses focus and the main AutoCAD screen is in front of the AliasEdit dialog.  So no changes are made because the command is still in progress but the verification process isn't complete.  In the taskbar, the aliasedit process is still running. If you click on it in the taskbar, it can regain focus and complete the process.

Dean's suggestions are also a good alternate way to modify the acad.pgp file.
