So I'm curious why this occurs: I go to hatch a boundary and when I move my cursor to that area the exact boundary I want shows itself in highlight. So I click into that boundary and it ignores that and goes WAY outside that boundary. This happens a lot when I'm hatching, say, a tile pattern on a floor plan. I click in the kitchen, the floor highlights, going perfectly around all the appliances, etc., so I click in that boundary and BAM, it selects the whole room, in and out of some of the appliances, fills the wall, etc.   It's settings are set to Outer w/ Island Detection on.

Thx,

Scott

When you need precision, its best to draw an outline first, then hatch by selecting the outline object method.

AutoCAD's algorithms are good, but ... .
