Getting rid of Educational Product stamp

I own AutoCAD Architecture 2002 (still use daily - I can't afford to upgrade!). Lately the message "Produced by Autodesk Educational product" has been showing up on plots!  Google search said that getting "emr_stamp.lsp" can be used to cleanse files, but that it has to be gotten from the retailer who originally sold me the product!  I can't remember name of retailer in Boston who sold me the product (after 16 years they are probably not in business anyway). How can I get a copy of that lisp file?  The google responses said that this defect can be transmitted to others like a virus! I am very concerned that AutoCAD files I share with my consultants and clients is getting infected with this problem!

Removing the plot stamp is a violation of your purchase agreement. Contact Autodesk for support assistance if you feel this is unfair.  This is a user forum.  Assisting you with removing the plot stamp would be a violation of our purchase agreements.

Even though I purchased AutoCAD Architectural Desktop with a full
commercial license in 2003?? Doesn't seem right!

EDU stamp has nothing to do with your license: it is a flag that your commercial use files contain EDU content, which is a licensing violation for the EDU source and you for having it in your file.

Think of it like having a joint in your pocket: your not smoking it, its not even lit, it may not even be yours, but its there on you when you get frisked so you get busted for having it.

There are other options listed on the web, go help yourself there: Autodesk's position is you toss your file in the trash.

You should be getting a warning when you open drawings marked with educational content.  The best approach is to choose not to open the drawing or to close it immediately without saving, and then to determine who produced those drawings, stop working with them, and discard the drawing.  Copy/paste operations to transfer information from those files to commercial files will transfer the stamp to the target files. This spreads the destruction of your content library.

I worked with students all the time as a teacher and often opened their files to grade them. Sometimes I saved the drawings with markup comments and returned them. I never had a problem with those files infecting my commercial work because I never used their work on any of my projects.  If I want to employ students, either they have to buy commercial licenses or I have to supply them with commercial copies.
