FATAL ERROR: Unhandled e06d7363h exception at fd6e9e5dh

When using AutoCAD Architecture 2014, I get this error intermittenly when launching AutoCAD Architecture 2014. I have submitted numerous error reports, and have done research into getting this error taken care of, but nothing that I have tried has worked.

Hello,

Has this error appeared at first run after installation of the software or were you able to run the software normally for a while before the error appeared?

If you were initially able to run the software the first thing to try is a repair:

  • Go to Control Panel
  • Select Programs then Add/remove programs
  • Double click the AutoCAD Architecture 2014 item to start the Setup dialog
  • Choose the "Rrepair/reinstallation" option
  • Choose the repair option and follow the wizard to complete the process

Let us know how you get on and if you need more assistance.

This error happens intermittenly. I can start the program. Work for a few hours, and then it will just crash. I have submitted numerous error reports, and continue to submit them, but I know AutoDesk never had a reputation for fixing bugs. I'm warning all the other firms we work with not to upgrade to the 2014 yet, because of these issues.

Thank you for the additional information. Have you tried a repair yet as suggested in my previous post?

Else when you send the error report did you enter an email address? If so let me know what address you entered (via PM) so I can look up the error report in our systems. By tracing the report we may have additional information that can tell us what the cause of the crash is.

I will try a repair after work tonight. To see if that does anything. But, in the past it hasn't. I have reinstalled the software before in an attempt to get it working properly. At this point I'm just dealing with it.

Once I get the error message again. I will post what the report number is.

I have run the repair just now. Figured I'd get it out of the way. I'll let you know when it crashes again.

Hi and thanks for the latest report number.

I was able to look it up.

Although this may not be the cause of the crashes it looks like your graphics adapter is not yet on the tested and certified list with AutoCAD (and verticals). it also looks like an updated driver was released for your adapter on July 1st.

I would recomment you try to download and apply this latest driver from NVidia:

http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/63458

If the crashes still happen after this and if you have not already done so, try disabling Hardware accelleration:

1. Enter the 3DCONFIG command

2. Click on the Manual Tune button

3. In "Manual Performance Tuning" dusable the "Enable hardware acceleration" checkbox

4. Click OK to exit all open dialogs

Do let us know how you get on and if there is any improvement.

Hopefully this can be resolved soon.

Hi, thanks for the update and sorry to hear the crash is still occurring.

I've tracked down your latest CER report. The development team is working on a fix for this already as it seems a frequent problem in AutoCAD 2014.

I will report back to this thread as soon as there is any development on this.

We are experiencing similar problems, Klaus. Here is the error report from my latest crash.

Anything shaking out there?

Hi Keith,

Found the error report.

The first thing I would try is to roll back to the following graphics adapter driver which is the tested and certified version with AutoCAD Architecture 2014 on Windows 7 64 and your graphics adapter.

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/syscert/card?siteID=123112&catID=18254205&id=18844534&product=8...

If this does not improve the situation, try creating a new local Windows "test" account with administrative priviledges, log in using the newly created account and see if you can reproduce the crash. If you can't we will most probably be able to fix the problem by resetting the user profile.

Let us know how you get on.

Regards,

Klaus

Thanks, Klaus.

I have just installed the new driver. I will crunch it a while then post back results.

I have administrative priveleges so that shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks again.

Welcome to the Discussion Groups.  What version of AutoCAD Architecture are you using?  Do you have all of the issued Updates and Hotfixes for that version applied?

Hi Klaus,

I was just curious if this issue was resolved in ACA 2018 or is this something we will continue to need to do. (roll back graphics driver)

Thanks!
