You can add a line where you show it by editing the Threshold Plan Display Representation.  Turn on the display of Threshold A on the Layer/Color/Linetype tab.  On the Other tab, verify that the A and B Threshold Dimensions are set to 0.

Do that at the Drawing Default level if you want all doors to have that line.  Do that as a Style Override if you only want all Doors of one or more Door Styles to have the line (you have to do it for each style).  Do that as an Object Override if you only want a few individual Doors to have the line.2017-12-08_ThresholdPlan_ThresholdA-On_AandB-0.png

You may want to adjust the Color, Linetype, Lineweight and other attributes of the Threshold A component, to get it to look the way you want on screen and plot the way you want on paper/PDF.

  1. Verify that you are viewing your drawing from the Top view direction.  Close, but slightly off, will use whatever Display Representation Set is assigned to the Default view direction, which is often different from the one assigned to the Top view direction.
  2. If you are looking at the model from the Top view direction, then you need to see if the Threshold Plan Display Representation Set is turned on for Doors.
  • With Model Space active, on the Manage ribbon tab, on the Style & Display panel, select the Display Manager tool.
  • In the left pane, expand the Configurations node.  Look for the Configuration in bold type, that is the currently active one.
  • Expand the node of the currently active Configuration.  Look for the Display Representation Set in bold type, which is the currently active one.  The cube icon at the left of the name should have the top face of the cube filled in in gray.
  • Select the active Display Representation Set.
  • In the right pane, select the Display Representation Control tab.  A matrix of Objects and Display Representations will appear.
  • Find the row for Doors and the column for the Threshold Plan, scrolling if necessary.
  • Is there a check mark in the box (toggle) at the intersection of that row and that column?  If not, that is why your line does not show up.  Select the toggle to place a check mark there.
  • Select OK to dismiss the Display Manager.  Does the line show now?

If the above does not work, attach a sample file that does not display the line at your Door to a reply here.2017-12-10_DisplayManager_Configurations_MediumDetail_Plan_Door_ThresholdPlan.png

Thank you very much for your help. One more thing: I have one wall, which displays the 2 contour lines of the wall where I have doors. How can I make the 2 lines disappear?

Can you attach a screen shot of these "contour lines" and indicate which ones are to be turned off?  I am not certain to what you are referring.

If you modified the Threshold Plan Display Representation for Doors in your View drawing, you may need to modify it in your Sheet files, as well, to see it there.  (Also make certain that the same Display Configuration is set current in the viewport on your Sheet as was set current in the View file.  Or, you could select the external reference in your Sheet file, right click, choose Edit Object Display and then, on the Xref Display tab, choose to override the Display Configuration of that is set in the host drawing, choosing the one you used in the View file.  The latter is labor-intensive, I would look to getting your display settings coordinated between all of your file types as the easier way.  Get your template file(s) set up to use the same settings, and you should not have this issue going forward.

Thank you once more. The door display setting in my sheet file is fine now. (I haven´t realised before, that I have to change to model view in my sheet file to be able to change the display setting).

I have attached the image with the wall lines that I was reffering to. (the red lines similar to the threshold, but they belong to the wall i think)

They could be Door lines from the Threshold Plan Display Representation (both "A" and "B" would have to be turned on).  Or, as you have noted, they could be part of the Wall display.  Perhaps the Above Cut Plane component for the active Display Representation for Walls is turned on, and either the Linetype was changed from HIDDEN2 to Continuous, ByLayer or ByBlock.  Or it is still set to HIDDEN2, but the combination of LTSCALE, PSLTSCALE, MSLTSCALE and the object linetype scale are such that the dashes do not show.

It could also be that the Below Cut Plane component is on, and your Door does not cut the Wall all of the way to the Wall bottom.  That could happen if the Door has a Threshold Height that is not set to 0 or if there the Wall has a Floor Line projection below the Baseline.

Do you know how I can solve this issue? May doors are displayed with some boxes around them. Please see attached screenshot. Thank you in advance for your help!

Welcome to the community!

Without seeing your file, I cannot be certain why your Door displays that way, but one way to get a similar result is to have overly large values for the Frame Width and Door Thickness in your Door Style.  You may want to check those values.  If that is not it, reply back and attach a sample drawing to your reply.

Your file did not get attached.  In order to attach a file, you need to sign into the forums in a web browser, start a reply and then select the paper clip icon in the "Attachments" section below the reply edit box and the "Insert Screencast" section.  Attaching the file to an email reply will not work.

I am not quite sure how this happened, but somehow the values on the Dimensions tab for the Hinged Single and Hinged Double Door Styles all appear to have been multiplied by 25.4.  That suggests that an imperial units file was thought to be metric (perhaps units were changed to millimeters, but no scaling applied), and when changed back to imperial (perhaps changed to inches, with scaling applied), all linear dimensions were scaled by a factor of 25.4.

The values for the Standard Door Style are even odder.

You could type in proper values, and if were just the Dimensions tab values, that might be okay, but all of the values on the Standard Sizes tab for the Hinged Single and Hinged Double Door Styles are also 25.4 times too large.  If you have the out-of-the-box Door Styles (Imperial).dwg that has the correct values, it will be easier to copy the Styles from there and overwrite the ones in your file.

I will put a brief Screencast together showing how to do that, in case you (or anyone else coming across this thread) do not know to do so.  Stay tuned....

Sorry for the delay; here is the video.  I opened Style Manager, and then navigated to and opened the U.S. imperial source file for Doors.  You may have different local content installed, and, depending upon how the installation was done, it may be in a different location.  My file is in the default installation location under C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ACA 2017\enu\Styles.

In case you cannot tell from the Screencast, I am holding down the CTRL key while selecting the three styles in the right pane, to allow me to select several items that are not adjacent.

If the embedded Screencast does not work, here is the URL for it:  https://autode.sk/39bkpJS.

And here is a copy of the file you posted, with the three Door Styles overwritten with the source files from the U.S. Imperial content.

Sorry for the delay.  Here is the Screencast, showing how to use Style Manager to overwrite Door Styles in the current file with Styles from a source file.  In case it is not obvious in the video, I am holding down the CTRL key when selecting the three styles from the source file in the right pane of the Style Manager, so that I can select multiple items that are not adjacent.  Then I drag and drop them onto the Architectural Objects folder under the current drawing and choose to overwrite the existing styles.

The source files on my computer were installed in the default location for AutoCAD Architecture 2017, under C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ACA 2017\enu\Styles.  The default location for other versions will be similar, with a change in the year number.  Depending upon how things were set up during installation, your location may vary.  And depending upon your location, the content available for installation may vary (as well as the name of the folder under the "Styles" folder.

Here is the URL for the Screencast, in case inserting it here does not work:  https://autode.sk/39bkpJS.
