I am looking at AutoCad Architecture 2017 - and on the system requirements page it makes it unclear whether a DirectX 9 or DirectX 11 card is better.  Which one is BEST?

Hi @t_leis,

Great question about DirectX 9 vs DirectX 11 cards. Both cards will work, it is a bit of a matter of preference. It's important to note the differences between the two. DirectX 11 is only available to newer cards, older ones will only be able to run DirectX 9. DirectX 11 is better at hyperthreading, thus it will run better on multiple core processing. My recommendation personally, is that you will have a performance boost with the DirectX 11 card. Please note this is an opinion and does not necessarily take into account all cards available.

I also recommend checking out our prerequisite checker.
