Dimension text cuts through dimension line

Hello All,

I am trying to stop dimension text from cutting through dimension lines. I have set horizontal position to be centered and vertical to be above as shown in the attached image. Any suggestions?

How exactly did you enter that override text?

Check your dimgap setting.  Hopefully you used \X to separate the text above the dimension line from that below.

I used \X to separate the text above the dimension line from text below. I set DIMGAP to 0". Unfortunately that did not resolve the issue. I ended up creating a new dimension type. Not ideal, but my drawings are looking correct now. Thanks for your suggestion.

That's the problem. Never set dimgap to 0.  Always at least 1/3 of the text height.
