Cut plan in a multistory building

Hii all,

I’m having a problem to understand how the Cut Plan works when it comes to multistore building.

1.In each level I can see the 1.40m high cut plan, is it relative to the level or is absolute to the world?

2.is there any visual way to set the cut plan? I hate mathematics

Thanks

Shay

The Constructs for each level have Z = 0 set at that floor level.  The exception to that would be for a spanning Construct, that includes multiple levels; in that case, Z = 0 is set at the level of the lowest included floor level.

So if you want your cut plane at 1.40 m above the floor level, setting the cut plane at 1.40 m in each single-level Construct will work (allowing you to use the same Display Configuration in each level's files).

When you create a view with multiple levels, AutoCAD Architecture/Project Navigator refers to the Project settings, where you have told it the elevation of each level, and places the external references of each Construct at the appropriate Z value.

So far as I know, there is no "cut plane object" that could be selected and moved on screen.
