Creating Video Tutorial

I have a question that I have not been able to find an answer to.  I work at a place where a majority of the designers do not have much AutoCAD knowledge.  I want to be able to record the actions I perform doing certain functions and put them on our server for everyone to be able to access.  Is this something that AutoCAD has built in already or do I need third party software?  If i need other software, can you give me some suggestions.

The CAD titles run here are:

AutoCAD ACA 2017

Revit 2017

3DS Max 2017

There are a few others as well, but I haven't run across anyone using them yet.  The most used application is AutoCAD.

Thank you

It's not built in but works like it's built in. Very simple to use and made by autodesk so very smooth operation with autodesk products. Plus it's free which is always nice.

This is a pretty handy tool. You can set it so it shows what keys you press too in a closed caption type format. I always save my screencasts to autodesk cloud, but without checking I think you can save them locally too. If not it wouldn't be hard to just set up a file with links to each screencast with a description. If anything that might be better as you could put a sentence or two telling what the link shows and people could use the find tool to search for key words to help find the screencast they need.

Hi @Anonymous,

I'm just checking in to see if you need more help with this. Screencast is certainly your best option here, if you're looking for a video recording utility that plugs right into Autodesk products and captures the commands you're using in addition to the video itself.

It also has the benefit of showing up on AKN, if you choose to make the videos public, and you can then create Collections of videos, help documents, and other resources that show up publicly on AKN. Simply click the "Add to Collection +" button on any public article/video/etc.:

Did the suggestion that @gotphish001 provided work for you?
