Creating new drawing with layers from another drawing

I need help creating a new drawing from a previous drawing with those same layers, and then need to save each drawing separately. How do I do this ?

SAVEAS command?
WBLOCK command?

INSERT command, from source to new file?

ADCENTER drag and drop from source to new file?

XREF?
