Convert ACA2012 to ACA2008 without losing property set data?

I'm needing to convert a bunch of Architecture 2012 files that have property set data in the extended data to Architecture 2008.  That information seems to get stripped out using both the conversion software, and just using "save as".  Is there a way to convert those files without losing that data?

No option, no fix: when a DWG format changes every three versions it takes away the ability to save down AEC content (and keep it as AEC content) from the lower versions.

AEC content can go UP (from 2008 to 2012 for example) with no issues.

It must be re-created in the older program.

Just wondering, is that a technical issue, or a deliberate omission in the conversion process by Autodesk?  If its deliberate by Autodesk, there may be a 3rd party workaround.

Whatever it is, it's better than the REVIT crowd, who lose out with every update and upgrade version from saving 'anything' down for others.

It started with ADT2004 and continues, and will with the next DWG format change. Avoid mixing and matching ACA versions in one office or across one project if you work with others (it can be done).

Export to IFC from 2012 then import that in 2008.  Something will be lost in translation but at least you don't lose everything.  That's is the workaround in revit as well.
