Clipped Xref won't plot solid hatch

I am using solid hatch for my wall stud hatch. When I have a xref clipped the hatch will show in model & paper space but will not plot unless I unclip the xref.

I found out after posting this that it's not the software, but the pc. The same drawing with the issue on one pc does not have the issue on other pc's.

Going down that rabbit hole first.

Same thing here one other computer no issues, same software.  However, my PC is running Windows 11pro (one with the issue) the other is running Windows 10pro.

Nothing attached. This is also not the LT nor the AUTOCAD forum, but specifically for the AutoCAD variant called ARCHITECTURE.

Dou you just need to turn off the variable GFXDX12 in each of your programs, restart that PC, to see if your graphics-only issue goes away (assuming you've checked layers and xref overrides etc.)?

this is the only discussion I've found about this issue.

I turned the variable GFXDX12 off and that didn't solve the problem.

Here's a screen shot of the xref (left one is clipped, right one is not clipped).

As you can see it's not all hatching. The ones not showing in this are Dash and Ansi32

what I found on my own file is removing the xref clipping solve the issue, if that does not produce more problem on your design set. I had a gravel hatch, and it was annotative, when I turn off the annotativeness of hatch, I can see it in viewport even when the Xref file is clipped. however when I make them annotative and have the Xref clipped, that particular gravel hatch disappear. so I removed the Xref clipping and it worked. all hatches have the viewport scale added to their list, but it is the first time that I am seeing this. 

I even created a new viewport to see maybe it is just the VP issue, but the probelm was there.

Had the same issue for a clipped solid wall fill in AutoCAD 2026 - a solid wall fill from a clipped xref that crosses the clip boundary not plotting. The fill layer for these walls was set to green color (Color 3) which had 0% screening and grayscale set of 'off' in the pen table. Fill for the walls crossing the clip boundary would not print with transparency on or would print solid black with transparency off. 

Since the fill was on its own layer, I changed the color for that layer to one that had both the same screening % as the transparency setting and grayscale turned on. In my case Color 13 had 30% screening to correspond to the 70% transparency used for this fill in the xref file. Plotting with transparency off and my usual pen table worked.
