Brick hatching & other 45 degree hatching

How do I get my brick hatching to stay at 45 degrees to the run of the wall when the wall is not at 0 or 90 degrees? When I draw a 45 degree wall in plan the hatching stays parallel to the run of the wall.

Hope someone can help, thanks.

Assuming I understand your issue correctly... your hatch need to be 0 or 90 when the wall is at an angle like 45 for example: hatch angles are based on your UCS/PLAN settings, not your walls' orientation.

Experiment now.

With AutoCAD Architecture wall, objects:

  1. select a wall object you are having problems with, right click, and choose edit wall style.
  2. On the materials tab, select brick veneer and choose the edit button.
  3. For whatever display reps you want to edit, select the edit button.
  4. On the hatching tab, change the orientation in the plan hatch display component row from global to object.
