Alt Shortcuts/Ribbon Bar shows up every time I use my keyboard and sometimes when I click - AutoCAD Architecture 2025

The Problem

I started experiencing this issue yesterday where, while using AutoCAD, the alt shortcuts menu keeps on appearing whenever I type, interrupting my workflow. This occurs if I type in the command console, if I type in dimensions, and any time I touch my keyboard when the application is focused. I am not hitting the alt key when this occurs. The Alt key still works as normally and makes the alt shortcuts menu disappear and reappear. 

Similarly, clicking also triggers this though the behavior is less predicable than with my keyboard. But whenever I click on any fill-able text boxes, or when I try to click on the main drop down button with the AutoCAD logo, the alt shortcuts menu appears too.  

This makes using the program unusable since I'm unable to type in exact dimensions. Even if I make the alt shortcuts menu disappear, it somehow interrupts my typing so I can't write more than one character in the dimensions. 

This issue only occurs in AutoCAD Architecture 2025. Other applications that use alt shortcuts, including other versions of AutoCAD, work as expected. The issue went away for a few minutes when I restarted my laptop, but came back unprompted.

@mmo97 So in any AutoCAD year version and variant, not just ARCH, those letters appear when the ALT key is pressed, this is what you see

Turn on MENUBAR to make it stop (well, it switches to a different less distracting option).

Yes, I am aware of this. The issue is that I'm not clicking the Alt key, the menu appears whenever I press any key. Changing Menubar from 0 to 1 does not fix the issue. 

I resolved the issue by uninstalling the software and updating to AutoCAD Architecture 2026. Though I am still unaware of what caused this to occur in the first place.

hello i had the exact same problem, i found out it was discord's overlay causing it to bug out. When i disabled the overlay it went back to normal.
