I'm about to upgrade all four of my office PC's from ACA 2016 to ACA 2018.  Could someone in the know please tell me the latest build spec i.e. service pack, hotfixes etc.

Many thanks

Ben

Why not move to ACA2019, the current version? Why stick with ACA2018? I'm curious more than anything.

Log into your Autodesk Account's Updated page to see the latest builds or all software you are subscribed and entitled to use since that is the only spot you can get those updates https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates (2018.0.3)

You will need to install the AutoCAD 2018.1.2 Update for AutoCAD and the AutoCAD Architecture 2018.0.3 Update for AutoCAD Architecture.  You should see the following in the About dialog:2019-02-12_ACA2018_About_ACAD2018-1-2_ACA20178-0-3.png

If you are not running network licences, you will also want to install the Autodesk License Service 5.1.5 hotfix:

@David_W_Koch Thank you for the prompt response.  I've downloaded the necessary files and am ready to go.  Another quick question (if you don't mind); I have two files with the .SFX extension, one is 64bit_dlm_001_002 (2Gb) and the other 64bit_dlm_002_002 (1.2Gb), which one should I double click to initiate the install?

@pendean I have tried to install the 30 day trial copy of ACA 2019 and could not get it to run unless as administrator to which no solution was found.  I should also add  I am only changing to 2018 because I have to upgrade to Win 10 and ACA 2016 has problems with OSNAP not working properly on this platform.

Many thanks

With both of those files in the same folder, double click on the "001" file to start the installation process.  The first thing that happens is that the installation files will be extracted from both of those files; then you will get the dialog to begin the installation or creation of a deployment.

Re 2019 would not run unless as administrator

That's odd, as usual have to install as admin but have had no problems running as a std user on Win 7 or 10

Did it go through the first use set-up when you tried to start it as a std user?

@Anonymous it went through as a std install but would only run properly as admin.  It kept presenting an error about access to certain files.

To be honest (and as stated earlier) I would prefer to stay on ACA 2016 as we have a stable platform and there are no significant increases in functionality between 16 and 19 and certainly nothing between 18 and 19.

Regards

Ben

Be aware if you use project standards both your standards files and all the project files need to be upgraded to the new format for project standards to work. I found this out the hard way! I believe this was addressed a service pack and is fixed in 2019 but something to test.
