Short background: I received a .DXF 3D model of a simple kitchen and importet it into Revit. As its large and makes the model slow, i wanna transform it into IFC, so im trying AutoCAD Architecture. Also I'm doing the coordination with IFC, so i need that file not to be as large as it is and show appropriately.
Opening the Model and their Blocks and assigning a material of my choice worked.
While doing the IFC export there were no issues either.
Yet when opening the exportet IFC the Bodies are black and have no Material Parameter assigned to them.
I changed both the overall Material and the Block Material within the blocks to be the same for testing reasons.
Somehwere i read "convertto3dmodel" would work, but the command does not seem to exist in my case.
How can i manage the IfcMaterial parameter gets written while exporting the file?
