Can you change the color of a layer in the mobile app?

When using AutoCAD 360 on the iPad, I open up the layer window and it lists all the layers with their corresponding colors on the left. Intuitively, I tap on the colors expecting a color palette to come up but nothing happens. I hold down on the colors and still nothing happens. Is it possible to change a layer's color?
I can create a new layer but it is always white. My next guess is to choose a color then create a layer, but still, it is white.

Hi Joshua, Thanks for contacting us, At this point, changing layers' color is not supported (on mobile), but we have also received several requests from users for this capability and as shown in the past, we tend to listen to our customers and react fast. Please keep an eye for future updates. Please note, AutoCAD 360 web app (www.autocad360.com) does allows you to change layers colors- see attachments. Best,

Hi Gonzalo, Not just yet...We know that currently the app's drafting capabilities need to be improved, and we're working constantly to improve and expend our designing tools, in order to provide our users with a better design experience than what we currently offer. Advanced features such as editing propertied values (including linetypes and lineweights), changing layers colors, more snap points (perpendicular is one of them), library of templates , library of general blocks, improvements of the touch gesture and much more, are currently in progress and we plan to include many of such improvements in our future version releases. I invite you to stay tuned to our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/AutoCAD360?fref=ts) and blog (http://www.autocad360.com/blog) for details about the upcoming releases. Best,

Hello Autodesk,

Following up with this support request to change layer color in the mobile app.  The previous queries are from 2015 or earlier.

Since then has there been any progress to making this a function in the mobile app?

It would be very helpful to assign color to the layers instead of having to assign color to the object after it has been created.

Best regards,

SC

WOW!!  Three plus years to add a simple color to a layer.  Not sure why you ever implemented the bylayer in the color select of the item.

I can tell my subscription fee is really being used well.

Bugs from the previous versions, still have not been addressed!

I was very hopeful this time....

Solved.

Get a trial copy of AutoCad LT.

Create a .dwg file with the layers/colors wanted.

Save the drawing and use as template for all new drawings.

Hi has this been updated yet? I have been using the app today and somehow my default line colour has changed from white to 250,162,27 (orange) and I am now unable to change this back.

Hello @Jfactory

I just tested the behavior on my iPad.

Changing the layer color was possible when clicking in the layer palette. 254 index colors can be selected. Please compare with the screenshot below.
