April 2016 ... Change Layer Color ... Windows 10 Store version of AutoCAD 360

I recently installed AutoCAD 360 : Windows 10 : from the Windows Store

Today, for the first time, I had some time to try AutoCAD 360 (Windows 10 Store version).

Creating layers is easy, but I cannot figure out how to to change the color of a layer.

Then I visited this forum. An old post indicates that it is possible to change layer colour using the Web App version.

I am realyy not sure sure what the correct URL is to start the Web App version. I tried www.autocad360.com ... this URL looks like the file manager portal. I opened a DWG using that ... maybe thats the Web App? I could still not change the layer colour - maybe the Web App has been changed since the old forum post?

Thx,

Kevin.

Hi @kbarnettza,

Thanks for contacting us,

Changing layers colors is not yet supported AutoCAD 360 mobile apps. On AutoCAD 360 web app (www.autocad360.com), you should be able to change the Annotations layer color only. See attachment

We're working constantly to improve and expend our designing tools, in order to provide our users with a better design experience than what we currently offer. Advanced features such as editing propertied values (including linetypes and lineweights), changing layers colors, more snap points, library of templates , library of general blocks, improvements of the touch gesture and much more, are currently in progress and we plan to include many of such improvements in our future version releases.
I invite you to stay tuned to our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/AutoCAD360?fref=ts) and blog (http://www.autocad360.com/blog) for details about the upcoming releases.

One would expect software to be released working with all BASIC functions.

AutoCAD mobile is quite disappointing. It is annoying that layer management capability in AutoCAD mobile is described as advanced.

OSNAP is buggey and not very good.

Command lines don't work for say LINE and COPY, etc.

There's no 3D objects, XYZ axis, no ability to draw in three dimensions at all.

Zoom extents zooms to the wrong place.

No ability to arrange viewports.

These are basic features and given the full capability of AutoCAD, should not be called advanced features.
