Autocad LT 2007 not running on Windows 7 64 bit

Hey Guys,

I had to remove Autocad 2015 from my clients pc so that he could use 2007 which was already on.

He has this problem where he opens 2007 but then it doesnt run at all. If you check Task Manager you can see the Autocad Proccess opening and then just closing straight away.

I therefore Uninstalled Autocad 2015 & 2007 from his PC, Restarted and installed 2007 again.

In the event logs, I get the following error when I ran Autocad 2007:

Faulting application name: acadlt.exe, version: 23.0.116.0, time stamp: 0x44dd7675
Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00378adc
Faulting process id: 0x16a8
Faulting application start time: 0x01cf7f35eb12b409
Faulting application path: C:\AutoCAD2007LT\acadlt.exe

I ran CCLeaner, I removed all HP Apps from his Laptop.

I've updated his graphics drivers to the latest ones, restarted, installed older drivers, nothing.

I've tried running it with both graphics card, onboard Intel and with the AMD.

I can't seem to get it running even though it was working fine.

Is there any recommendations you guys can give me?

Thanks,

Andrew

2007 versions of AutoCAD are not supported in Win7. Sorry.

Worth trying but not guarantees

- Ensure the user is installing/uninstalling and using the product have enough rights to do so (install and reinstall as local administrator): Unable to run AutoCAD® as a restricted user http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS1055299
- Install the latest service pack: http://usa.autodesk.com/support/downloads/
- Update the graphics card driver: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/syscert?siteID=123112&id=18844534
- If the issue persist, please create a new local user account onto the computer and give it administrator permissions then log into the computer with newly created test account and see if AutoCAD launches properly under this user account as well.
- If AutoCAD also crashes under the test user account, you will need to do a complete uninstall and re-install following these instructions: http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS45252 (reinstall for XP/Vista users: http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS75218)
- More complete .NET fix may be necessary ahead of the uninstall/reinstall process: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Installation-Licensing/NET-Framework-Cleanup-Tool-for-Unhandled-Except...

- You can try using xp mode: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/windows-xp-mode
- Or you can try using a 3rd party tool called longbow: http://www.longbowsoftware.com/ (it's not free).
