I've received a CD full of files with the .cal extension. They are supposed to be drawings. Does anywone know what program might have produced these files? And can AutoCAD open them? We have Acad 2002. Unfortunately the person who sent them to me is on vacation. Any help is appreciated.
CAL ( .CAL ) - File Extension Information
Extension: CAL ( . CAL )
Description:
CAL is the file extension for the Calendar schedule data file. It can also
be the extension file for the CALS Compressed Bitmap and for the SuperCalc
4/5 Spreadsheet.
This is what what I received in one google search. Most likely i´n your case
they are CALS bitmap files.
BTW, one way to sort things out, is to open one file in Notepad and read
from start of the file.

Most likely ->

Most likely scanned to this format, similar to TIFF.
You should be able to attach them as an image. If you have a printing
program such as Oce Repro Desk, you can print straight from there.
fyi - filext.com is a very handy site when curious about file extensions.
This extension is taken by a number of calendar creating programs including American Greetings CreataCard, Broderbund software, PrintMaster (Gold), The Print Shop, and others.
