Issues with Assemble timing out and hiding objects

Hi all,
I’ve been running into persistent performance issues while working in Assemble. Specifically, when conditioning my model or trying to hide specific selection sets, the system frequently times out. Tasks that should take just a few seconds are taking 10x longer—or sometimes not completing at all.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of slowdown? Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

It's been exceptionally slow for us as well on our end... over the past few months it's almost to the point of being unusable.

A lot of these issues (in my opinion) stem from the fact that there is an inherent flaw in the design of the program with regard to the way models are published to Assemble. For whatever stupid reason, there is no way for users to choose which parameters they would like to publish along with their models. Because of this, every single parameter (even if the parameter has a blank value) from every single object in every single model is published to Assemble. Unless you're working with tiny models, this means that the amount of data stored on their servers can balloon out of control, especially if you publish a fabrication MEP model that has dozens of unused properties (which being in VDC we are at the mercy of our design/build partners to purge unused parameters from their models).

I know with so much data storage being required for each model, Autodesk surely has to be paying through the nose for cloud storage... Makes me wonder if the reason Assemble never got any true improvements/updates since Autodesk bought them was that they determined the software wasn't really profitable enough to warrant more development.
