Link or Associate Relief Layers with Vector Layers.

Link or Associate Relief Layers with Vector Layers.

It would be nice to have Vector Layers joined or tied (Link or Associate)  to Relief Layers in Autodesk ArtCAM 2017.

Win is when you want to Edit a Relief Layer, no need to select already chosen vectors again, just go straight to editing relief‘s properties.

That would save time while editing the reliefs.

i think i like the sound of this but i don't fully understand what you mean.

would it be a case of when you active a relief layer you can only select and edit vectors associated with it?

there may be any number of vectors associated with a given relief layer with different relief properties associated with each vector.

or is it a case of when once a vector is associated to a relief layer when ever the relief properties of the vector are edited the relief changes are made to the associated relief layer regardless of currently active relief layer.

Hi @mmarchHRJ7T,

Hi @prashant.gurav and @mmarchHRJ7T,

In order to

1) make it work faster,
2) have clear view of what relief operations are done and what vectors are associated with them.

Often it's a trouble to repeat complex reliefs on another design because it's difficult to get know what the process was with another design.

I see it like this

1) each relief layer has single vector layer attached

2) so if changes are needed you need only to change associated layer or just edit exact relief layer properties

3) by selecting relief it's already clear which layer you should edit if the need arises.

Hope it is clear to understand,

Regards,
